This Week in Movies – July 6-12

SeekingaFriend 1

I may have already watched the week’s biggest new release, but that doesn’t mean that it will be an off-week for me.

New Releases

  • Seeking a Friend for the End of the World (July 7) – I’m finally going to catch up with this film, which sadly has a much more limited release in only its third week.
  • : The Lost Interview (July 9) – Since I like computers and technology just as much as film, I don’t want to miss this documentary at the Bloor Cinema.
Festivals
  • Toronto After Dark Summers Screenings (July 11) – It’s the second night of screenings that will feature Detention and the highly anticipated Canadian premiere of V/H/S
  • Shinsedai Cinema Festival (July 12) – I’m going to be checking out this independent Japanese festival for the first time beginning with the opening night films Ringing in Their Ears and Enter the Cosmos.
