News: Spielberg Now Working on Halo?

A movie based on the video game Halo was supposed have been produced by Peter Jackson and directed by Neill Blomkamp. However, that project fell apart (due to the large budget) and the two went on to create District 9.

Now it is being reported that Steven Spielberg has taken over the project from Jackson and that he was apparently blown away by a script written by Stuart Beattie.

If these rumours are true, it could mean that a Halo film may finally have a chance of seeing the light of day.
