Here is the trailer for the new film by Peter Jackson.

After spending most of the decade with epic big budget films, such as The Lord of the Ring trilogy and King Kong, Peter Jackson returns with a low-key drama/thriller that is more in line with his 1994 breakout film Heavenly Creatures.

From the looks of the trailer, The Lovely Bones is a combination of dramatic, fantasy, and thriller elements. I also like how the cinematography and costumes are made up to reflect the 70s time period of the film.

The film opens on December 11 and I will definitely be checking it out.
