Box Office Thoughts for the Weekend of April 24, 2009

ObsessedPosterThe Fatal Attraction-esque film Obsessed topped the box office with a gross of $28.6M. Last week’s top film, 17 Again, dropped to second place with a gross of $11.5M.

All the other wide releases of the weekend opened in the top five with Fighting opening in third with a gross of $11M, The Soloist opening in forth with $9.7M, and the nature documentary Earth opening in fifth with a gross of $8.8M.

In limited release, The Informers opened in twenty-first place with a gross of $300K.

And that’s the box office thoughts for this week.
