Trailer Thoughts: Where the Wild Things Are

wherethewildthingsareThis week we have the first trailer for ‘s adaptation of the popular children’s book.

Where the Wild Things Are

I don’t think there has been a kid that hasn’t read Where the Wild Things Are (or has it read to as the case may be).

This film adaptation, directed by Spike Jonze, has been in the works for a few years now. I like how they went with “muppet-like” monsters instead of going all CGI (though I believe the monsters faces are still going to be animated with CGI).

With the exception of one line of dialog at the beginning the entire trailer is just a montage, accompanied by the wonderful song “Wake Up” by The . Definitely a perfect example of a teaser trailer.

The film doesn’t open until October and I’m sure we’ll see more of the film before then.
