Box Office Thoughts for the Weekend of January 23, 2009

PaulBlartMallCop PosterPaul Blart: Mall Cop was at the top of the box office for the second week in a row with an estimated gross of $21.5M. Underword: Rise of the Lycans opened in second place with an estimated gross of $20.7M.

The other new release of the weekend, Inkheart, opened in seventh place with an estimated gross of $7.7M.

After getting wider release during the weekend, Revolutionary Road went up five spots to twelfth place with an estimated gross of $5.3M and Frost/Nixon moved ten spots fifteenth place with an estimated gross of $3M.
