TIFF08: It’s that time again.

tiff08The 2008 Toronto International Film Festival does not official start until September, but the buzz is already starting.

A small handful of special presentations have already been announced, ticket packages will go on sale Monday, and more films are expected to be announced on July 25.

Probably most importantly (for me), next week sees the beginning of the recruitment sessions for volunteering at the festival. This will be my third year volunteering and, once again, I will be logging my experience right here, along with the rest of my festival coverage.

One cloud over this year’s festival is that a possible actors strike would mean no celebrities would show up in the city during the festival. However, if there are still the movies, it still should be a good time.

My next film festival report will be around the 25th when the films for the Midnight Madness, Sprockets Family Zone, and Wavelengths programmes are announced.
