Box Office Thoughts for the Weekend of June 6
A panda decided to mess with the Zohan last weekend at the box office. Here are the numbers:- Kung Fu Panda – $60M
- You Don’t Mess with the Zohan – $40M
- Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull – $22.8M
- Sex and the City – $21.3M
- The Strangers – $9.29M
- Iron Man – $7.52M
- The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian – $5.53M
- What Happens in Vegas… – $3.4M
- Baby Mama – $779K
- Made of Honor – $775K
Kung Fu Panda was the clear winner for the weekend with a gross of $60M. However, You Don’t Mess with the Zohan wasn’t too shabby with a gross of $40M.
Last week’s number one movie Sex and the City dropped down to forth place with a gross of $21.3M.
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull added $22.8M in its third weekend to bring its total gross up to $253M. However, it is current second place to Iron Man, whose total gross is now $289M, way more than Entertainment Weekly predicted.
