Fan Expo 2012 Day 2: From John Carpenter to Kevin Smith

Nothing much happened for me on the second day of Fan Expo, since I used it as the day to get my autographs and photo-ops out of the way. I initially lined up for what I thought would be a quick autograph with Levar Burton, but he was late showing up. I instead went to get an autograph by director John Carpenter, in which the wait was surprisingly quick (at least for one of the headliners). After finally getting Burton’s autograph, I proceeded to get my photo taken with Christopher Lloyd. While I got everything I was after in this one day, I still had to lament all the money I had to pay for those two autographs and a photo.
As for panels, I first went to Levar Burton’s Q&A, which seemed to be dominated with more questions about Reading Rainbow than Star Trek: The Next Generation. In the evening, I attended Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes live recording of their podcast Jay and Silent Bob Get Old. The three hour show was probably the most enjoyable (and profane) part of the Expo so far.
Today is Day 3 of the Expo and, from now on in, I will be attending mostly panels and Q&As. There should be some interesting discussions.
