Hot Docs 2020: How to Watch

Today marks the beginning of the 2020 Hot Docs International Documentary Festival, but it is being held in a completely different fashion. Thanks to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the decision has been made to host the festival online. As such, I thought I would post this festival primer about how you’ll be able to watch the films I reviews.
Who Can Watch?
The films of the 2020 Hot Docs Film Festival are available online to residents of Ontario
When Can I Watch?
Hot Docs officially runs from May 28 to June 6, 2020. Select films will have an extended post-festival window until June 25, 2020. There are also special events, such as Big Ideas, that will occur at select times.
How Can I Watch?
You can purchase tickets online for streams, with single tickets costing $9 and Packages of 5 costing $30.
Watch Films Directly from my Reviews

At the bottom of my reviews, you will find a box containing my rating for the film and a link to the festival page for that film.

At the top of each festival page you will find a link to either purchase a ticket or watch the film with an existing ticket.

After purchasing a film ticket, you can choose to watch it on your device or receive a code to watch it via the Hot Docs app on either Roku or Apple TV. Either way, you have 48 hours to finish after you start. Hot Docs has set-up a test stream to help familiarize yourself with the process.
And there you have it! I open you all enjoy this virtual edition of Hot Docs!
