There is an article in Variety linked by AICN talking about how there is chain in the U.S. that is planning to open a high-end line of movie theatres and will plan to charge $35 a show.
I have to say that is just plain ridiculous. The closest I have ever gotten to paying that much is at the Toronto Film Festival (they charge about $20) and I haven’t had to pay for a ticket ever since I started volunteering.
And I thought $12 was expensive…..
