Climate in Therapy Synopsis

Climate in Therapy is a documentary directed by Nathan Grossman. The film takes a fly-on-the-wall approach by being present for a series of group therapy sessions with seven climate scientists. The question asked by psychotherapist Richard is whether being smart gets in the way of being human beings and sharing their feelings.

My Thoughts on Climate in Therapy

Running at just over an hour, Climate in Therapy doesn’t delve too deeply into the anxieties that result from researching. However, some of the climate scientists in the film stand out more than others, particularly an Earth scientist named Sonali, who at one point is seen having a one-on-one session with Richard Beck. Ultimately, Climate in Therapy shows that even those who are supposed to be doing something about climate change are allowed to share their feelings and uncertainty about the future.
