the Golden Globes Nominees

gglogoThe nominees were announced for the 2010 Golden Globe awards.

As I always do, here are some random thoughts:

  • I’ve seen all but one of the “Best Picture – Drama” nominees, which I am sure will be remedied once The Fighter is released.
  • I’m a bit surprised that Burlesque got a nomination for “Best Picture – Comedy/Musical,” since the critics tend to think the opposite.  Same can be said about The Tourist.
  • was nominated twice for “Best Actor – Comedy/Musical.”  Likely means he’ll be canceled out in the votes.
  • As always, I’ve only heard of one of the foreign film nominees.
  • The King’s Speech has a good chance to sweep.

Well, those are my random thoughts.  I will make my predictions shortly before the ceremony on January 16.
