Well it looks like the hordes of teenage girls did show up, since Twilight opened at the top of the box office with an estimated gross of $70.6M, which is about $200K more than what Quantum of Solace made the week before.

That film, dropped to second place with an estimated gross of $27.4M.

The other new release for the weekend, the animated film Bolt, opened in third place with an estimated gross of $27.0M.
