Box Office Thought for the Weekend of October 21, 2008

twilight posterWell it looks like the hordes of teenage girls did show up, since Twilight opened at the top of the box office with an estimated gross of $70.6M, which is about $200K more than what Quantum of Solace made the week before.

That film, dropped to second place with an estimated gross of $27.4M.

The other new release for the weekend, the animated film Bolt, opened in third place with an estimated gross of $27.0M.

And that’s the box office thoughts for this week.
