Box Office Thoughts for the Weekend of July 10, 2009

BrunoPosterThe box office estimates were not the photo finish they were last week, so it can be safe to assume that Brüno will remain at the top when the final figures are announced. However, reports are saying that the box office receipts will probably be less than what Borat made (in fewer theatres).

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is finally on its way down, even though it has safely settled into the spot as the top film of the year. We’ll see if it can hold onto that spot, once Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is released later this week.

And that’s my box office thoughts for this week.
