Box Office Thoughts for the Weekend of October 24, 2008

It was close, but High School Musical 3 topped the box office with an estimated $42M. Saw V had to settle for second place with an estimated gross of $30.5. It will be interesting how these numbers hold up next weekend (especially since Friday is Halloween).

The drama Changeling only played in 15 theatres and made a decent sum of $502K and opened in twentieth place. The numbers should improve when the film expands this week.

And that’s my box office thoughts for this week.
