News: Sony Pictures Classics Picks Up TIFF Films

The festival may be over, but there are still announcements to be made about films receiving distribution deals.

It is being reported that Sony Pictures Classics have picked up Get Low and Lebanon for distribution.

After seeing Get Low at the festival, I have to say that I believe it has a chance to get a Best Actor Oscar nomination for Robert Duvall (and maybe even Best Picture — with that new ten film rule and all).

As for Lebanon, I remember it being one of the most busy press-screenings I was stationed at and I will try to check it out once it’s released.
