R.I.P. Christopher Lee

ChristopherLee

It’s sad news today as acclaimed actor has passed away at the age of 93.  With a career that lasted more than 65 years, Lee was best known for his roles in the Hammer horror films of the 1950s, particularly the 1958 version of Dracula.  He also had memorable roles as Lord Summerisle in The Wicker Man and the Bond villain Scaramanga in The Man in the Golden Gun.

Later in his career Christopher Lee would make appearances in ‘s Gremlins 2: The New Batch, as well as a number of films by Tim Burton, including Sleepy Hollow and and the Chocolate Factory.  He had also become known as Count Dooku in the Star Wars prequel trilogy and Saruman in The Lord of the Rings.  In fact, Lee’s final released film before his death was Saruman’s brief appearance in The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies.

Christopher Lee will most definitely be missed.
