R.I.P. Philip Seymour Hoffman

PhilipSeymourHoffman Sad news is being reported today as the Wall Street Journal broke the story that Oscar-winning actor was found dead today in his New York City apartment.  The cause of death is currently unknown, though the New York Post is reporting that it was from an apparent drug overdose.  Hoffman was 46 years old. Philip Seymour Hoffman has been acting since the early 1990s, beginning with small roles in films such as Scent of a Woman, Twister, and The Big Lebowski. His roles steadily became larger and he eventually went on to win Best Actor at the Oscars in 2006, for playing the title role in Capote.  He would go on to receive a further three Oscar nominations, the latest of which coming just last year for his role in Paul Thomas Anderson’s The Master. This is definitely some shocking and sad news and Philip Seymour Hoffman will definitely be missed.
