Final Thoughts: I never thought I movie like this could win, but it did.
Best Actor
My Prediction and Winner: Forest Whitaker
Final Thoughts: I should see that movie.
Best Actress
My Prediction and Winner: Helen Mirren
Final Thoughts: I should see this one too.
Best Supporting Actor
My Prediction: Eddie Murphy
Winner: Alan Arkin
Final Thoughts: Perhaps Norbit DID hurt Murphy’s chances a bit.
Best Supporting Actress
My Prediction and Winner: Jennifer Hudson
Final Thoughts: She was definitely the best thing about Dreamgirls
Best Director
My Prediction and Winner: Martin Scorsese
Final Thoughts: SCORSESE WON! SCORSESE WON!
Best Original Screenplay
My Prediction and Winner: Little Miss Sunshine
Final Thoughts: I should check out this film, as well (as soon as I get my sister to let me borrow it)
Best Adapted Screenplay
My Prediction and Winner: The Departed
Final Thoughts: Turning a Hong Kong film into a film about the Irish Mob. No easy feat.
Best Animated Film
My Prediction: Cars
Winner: Happy Feet
Final Thoughts: It looks like the Oscars isn’t Pixar-crazy. I find it funny that the man behind the Mad Max films won an Oscar for an animated film.
