I sort of feel bad about the Farrelly brothers.  They had a huge hit in 1998 with There’s Something About , however they haven’t since been able to match the success.

The plot of  involves how two married men (played by and SNL‘s ), can’t stop gawking at younger women, so their wives ( and Christina Applegate) give them a week off marriage to do whatever they wanted without consequence.

The problem here is that at the start of the film, the behaviour of the two was so irrepressible, that I found it hard to feel sympathy for them during their hijinks during the week.  Also, I didn’t find myself laughing too much at said hijinks, which is never good for a comedy.

Overall, the film came off as yet another so-so effort by the Farrelly brothers.  It is quite sad.
