inglouriousbasterdsIt took more than a decade for to get made and I have to say that it is quite possibly the best film has directed since Fiction.

While the marketing for the film focuses on and his band of Nazi-killing soldiers, the film is really an ensemble piece that focuses on many different stories.

It was a brave move by Tarantino to have most characters speak their native language, since this resulted in a large portion of the film being done in either French or German. However, I’m sure this all meant to help pull of the feel of the European film styles, such as French New Wave, that clearly inspired Tarantino in this film.

This was definitely a fine film and I would be surprised if it gets a few nominations come awards season.
