NightattheMuseumBattleoftheSmithsonianPoster 1I thought that the original Night at the Museum was a fun family movie in the vein of Jumanji (maybe one reason why the producers cast in a supporting role).

The sequel aimed to make things bigger by placing the action at the Smithsonian. Most of the original museum characters take a back seat for most of the film, with Williams having not much more than a bookending cameo.

The leaves room for the new characters. The one that shined the most was ‘ sassy performance as Amelia Earhart, a role that essentially steals the show. was also fun as the villainous pharaoh Kahmunrah.

Overall, just like the original this is a fun film for the whole family.

8/10
