This Weekend in Movies – December 11, 2009

I was looking forward to seeing Peter Jackson’s The Lovely Bones this week (even though is has only a 41% Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes), however it apparently doesn’t open in my area for another two weeks.  Instead, my pick this week will be the -directed Nelson Mandela/Rugby film Invictus, which is getting pretty decent reviews with a 76% Fresh rating.

This week also sees Disney’s return to cell-drawn animation with The Princess and the Frog, which is receiving glowing reviews with a 83% Fresh rating.

In limited release is A Single Man, for which won best actor for at the Venice Film Festival.  It has an 82% Fresh rating.

And that’s This Weekend in Movies.
