This Weekend in Movies – January 16, 2009

MyBloodyValentine3D PosterWe are already halfway through the first month of 2009, and I still haven’t seen any films that weren’t part of the huge rush of films released on Christmas. This week seems to be no exception, as I plan to check out Revolutionary Road.

Anyways, for those of you wanting to see new releases, this week is headlined by the horror remake My Bloody Valentine 3D, which currently has a 71% Fresh rating at Rotten Tomatoes (almost surprising for a horror film).

The other releases this week include the wide release of Defiance (54% Fresh), the family film Hotel for Dogs (42% Fresh), the biopic Notorious (53% Fresh), and the comedy Paul Blart: Mall Cop (27% Fresh).

And that’s this weekend in movies.
