This Weekend in Movies – July 18, 2008

DarkKnightPosterThis is the weekend everyone has been waiting for. In what is sure to be the biggest hit of the summer, The Dark Knight is released today in theatres. This film is going to be so big, that I am not going to be able to see it until Monday!

While The Dark Knight is expected to rule the box office, there are still some other choices to see. The most appealing alternate choice would be the musical adaptation Mamma Mia! For the kids, this week sees the release of the CGI animated film Space Chimps.

While those films are good counter-programming choices, I don’t think they are a match for The Dark Knight.

And that’s this weekend in movies.
