This Weekend in Movies – October 29, 2010 – Saw 3D, Monsters, The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest

Saw3D

Halloween is this weekend and there will definitely be plenty to choose from.

The big release this weekend is the seventh (and supposedly final) film in the Saw series, which will be shown in 3D.  However, I think have long become sick of the series and the 13% Fresh rating at Rotten Tomatoes proves that.

Opening in a more limited release is Monsters, which I saw at TIFF this year.  That film has a pretty decent 60% Fresh rating.

However, my Halloween viewing will be spent watching Paranormal Activity 2, which topped the box office last week and is still holding on to a 62% Fresh rating.

Another film that’s opening, which I plan to see within the week is The Girl who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest, which concludes the trilogy.  Sadly, this film doesn’t seem to be receiving reviews as good as the previous two, with the film only having a 47% Fresh rating.

And that’s This Weekend in Movies
