With the exception of some last minute tickets on Saturday, the entire remainder of my film festival experience is now planned.
Tomorrow will be a busy day as I see a whopping four films.
I will begin with the Manson-family comedy (that description sounds weird), Leslie, My Name is Evil. I will then proceed to see a repeat screening of the gala Get Low, followed by the vampire rock film Suck. The day will end with the British comedy Bunny & The Bull.
On Thursday, my only film will be a repeat screening of Jennifer’s Body.
The remainder of my festival experience should be a good one.

It’s the battle of the horror movies for the final weekend of the summer movie season. Even though I wasn’t too crazy of the first, my pick is Rob Zombie’s Halloween II, which I would rather see over The Final Destination 3D. It seems that neither film was screened for critics, so there can’t be…
If you have attended any of Toronto’s multitudes of film festivals, you have likely encountered Harvey Lalonde, who has been a prominent fixture at most of Toronto’s Arts & Culture Festivals for as long as I can remember and in recent years has expanded his volunteer portfolio to include the Sundance Film Festival in Salt…
The 2015 edition of the Canadian Film Fest begins tomorrow evening and runs through Saturday. Now in its ninth year, this year’s festival will feature 8 feature films and 16 shorts over the course of four days. My coverage of the festival will begin tomorrow, but in the meantime, here is a rundown what will…
As I watched tonight’s Golden Globe Awards, I was reminded why I have fallen out of favour with them in recent years. This particular awards show has become increasingly difficult to pick, since the Hollywood Foreign Press Association seems to select these awards out of a hat. They seemed to particularly love American Hustle, which…
This week my top DVD Pick will be Adventureland (also on Blu-Ray). I thought that the film was a decent coming-of-age story, even though it didn’t have the same amount laughs as Superbad. Also out this week is Duplicity (also on Blu-Ray) and Sunshine Cleaning (also on Blu-Ray). New Blu-Ray release include How to Lose…
Today is the first day of the Toronto International Film Festival! Today is going to be rather quiet day for me, since the public screenings do not begin until around 6:00pm and I will only be seeing two films this evening. However, beginning tomorrow, a combination of screenings, volunteer shifts, and a film editing class I’m starting…
